Rules

This park is open to all from dawn to dusk, free of charge. People using this park do so at their own risk, must promptly clean up after their dogs, and agree to observe these rules.

  1. Dogs must be leashed when outside the fences.

  2. The dog park is inherently dangerous for small children who may not be able to handle interactions with dogs. Children must therefore be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Strollers, carriers, and children’s toys should not be brought into the park.

  3. Owners must be in control of their dogs and remove them at the first sign of aggression. If your dog is annoying or provoking other dogs or persons, then you and your dog must leave the park.

  4. Owners must promptly clean up after their dogs.

  5. There is a limit of three (3) dogs per person.

  6. The small dog area is reserved for dogs weighing 30 pounds or less. Small dogs are also welcome in the large dog area at the owner’s risk.

  7. Puppies under four (4) months old are not permitted in the park for their safety and health.

  8. Dogs must display their current rabies vaccination and applicable license tags on their collars.

  9. Male dogs must be neutered by one (1) year of age and female dogs are not allowed in the park while in heat.

  10. No tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or vaping. No people or pet food, glass containers, or dog treats in the park.

  11. No personal belongings are to be left at the park.

  12. Balls and frisbees for retrieving may be brought into the park at the owner’s risk. No other dog toys are allowed.

  13. No running by adults or children.

  14. If your dog digs a hole, please fill it in using the shovels and rakes available under the sail shades.

  15. Profanity is prohibited. Please treat others with respect.

This park is leased from the City of Vero Beach by the Vero Beach Dog Park, Inc. (VBDP). Violations of these rules may result in the suspension of the owner and/or the dog(s) at the sole discretion of the VBDP Board of Directors. The VBDP Board of Directors, Vero Beach Police Department, and City/County Animal Control are authorized to enforce these rules. Your cooperation is appreciated!
