Our History

The Vero Beach Dog Park is a nonprofit organization operated by Board of Directors and community volunteers. This fabulous tree lined, 5-acre green space is leased from the City of Vero Beach.

We are 100% reliant on the support of our community to provide a clean, safe environment for our furry friends. Money is not only needed for the daily operations and maintenance of the park, but for the improvements planned for the benefit of both dogs and their owners.

Amenities include water fountains, seating areas, canopies, shade tree landscaping, waste bags and more. The park is a free public space for both dogs and their owners, open 7 days a week, dawn to dusk.

Testimonials

The dog park has been a savior in these Covid times. We are so fortunate to have this in our community. Many thanks!

Vero Beach Dog Park is the place to go. It is easily accessible, very well maintained and so much fun to watch the dogs run and play with each other. A visit with your best friend to the park will always make your day and theirs brighter.
— Luanne P., Vero Beach
The Dog Park was an absolute godsend during COVID.  So many of us were locked up, furloughed from our jobs, unable to visit family and friends, or simply too afraid to go anywhere but the park.  Remaining socially responsible we were able to “have a life” during COVID, while keeping our animals active and happy!

This park is the largest, and well maintained I’ve ever visited. They have at about 10 watering spots for dogs in the over 30lbs section, and 3 location in the small dog section. Park benches scattered throughout the park many have canvas coverings for dog and human shade. Popular times seem to be 8:00 am till 10am and 4:30pm till dusk. The park could have 50 dogs and not feel crowded. Waste bags are free at the entrances. The park survives by donations and boxes for donations are located at the two entrance points. If you bring your dog here be a responsible owner and pick up your dog’s waste.
